Dr Patricia Bishop graduated in medicine from the University of Adelaide in 1977. She worked at the Ingle Farm Community Health Centre, the Adelaide Children's Hospital and the Queen Victoria Hospital, obtaining her Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1981. She has a full registration with the Medical Board of South Australia, is a member of the Australian Medical Association and a member of the Australian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine (ACNEM). She is a past member of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, has completed the ACNEM Primary Course and the ACNEM Specialist Training Programs in Women's Health and Cancer Treatment.
In 1998 after taking time off for children, Patricia began her association with Fitness on the Park as a consultant GP for the Healthy Weight Loss Program.
At FOTP Dr Bishop practices traditional preventative medicine within a holistic framework. A full history and blood tests are often required, and treatment may include lifestyle changes and nutritional supplements.
